Interview: Bonnie Dalton

Bonnie Dalton is the General Manager and Music Industry Liaison at the Victorian Music Development Office. She works with artists and the various businesses and stakeholders that support them to foster sustainable music industry careers and impactful partnerships with music organisations and businesses.

In this interview, Bonnie discusses the impact COVID-19 has caused to our music community, while providing insights into the music ecosystem. The scale and depth of the rebuilding of this sector, and the framework and collaboration required intersect with the humanity and compassion of this community from someone who recognises we are all in this together.

As part of our commitment to capturing and sharing great Australian music stories, the Australian Music Vault responded to the challenges of COVID-19 by creating Banding Together, a series of video stories that capture, in real time, the impact that this pandemic has had on the music community.
